UPS

• They make killing monsters go faster for better hunting.
• Some can be used as transportation (Strider and Wyvern)
• They can pick up your items so you don’t have to stop killing to pick items up.
• The more powerful ones can hunt FOR you or take hits for you while you level.

DOWNS

• They are hard to level
• Thay cost alot (Scrolls of ressurection, food, and equips)
• They start out weak
• Overall time consuming (long quests to get them, and they take quite awhlie to level)

So if you often find yourself with spare time, spare money, or just feel like getting your own little sidekick, getting a pet is a good idea. If you dont have alot of patients, or are struggling to get money, don’t bother getting a pet.

If you are a newbie and you diden’t get your own buffstation yet, use the l2 scrolls in your inventory (activate with double-left click). These l2 scrolls will make your character stronger for one hour. After that hour they will dissapear.

Don’t try to beat a monster which lvl is much higher than yours, cause you can die very quickly! It’s easy to group momsters by their lvl(level), you need only to watch in what color is their name (very red it means his lvl is much higher than your lvl, pink means his lvl is higher than yours, yellow means his lvl is a bit higher than yours, white means his lvl is the same as your lvl, green means his lvl is a bit lower than your lvl, light blue means his lvl is lower than yours and dark blue means his lvl is much lower than yours!)

If the monsters are getting lower than yours, you need to find new hunting areas, hunting blue or darkblue monsters is not wise as they will give less experience (experience are points that your char gets after he kills a monster, collecting these points will make your char raise his/her level

Some tips and rules

Remember that you must always pick your drops (items, adena, materials) after you hunt monsters, cause it can crash the server if there is are too many items on the ground! You may be punished by a GM if you are caught leaving behind drops.
It is best for you to learn your new skills, cause that will make your char stronger, and so you can level faster!
Always choose weapons over armour, cause weapons are more needed than armour.

Create quick shortcuts of the basic actions (attack, sit or stand, healing potions, soulshots, etc) to your toolbar!

If your hp(Hitpoints) is falling, use healing potions (you can buy them in each city)
- lesser healing potion
- healing potion
- greater healing potion, only available from monster drops and common craft
For faster leveling use soulshots, spiritshots or blessed spiritshots! You can kill monsters faster, but remember press soulshot each time before each hit(much easier if you put soulshot link in your toolbar)! You can buy no grade soulshots in newbie town magic shops(Dark Elven Village, Talking Island, Elven Village, Orc Village and Dwarven Village) but D,C,B,A,S grade soulshots, spiritshots or blessed spiritshots you must buy from other people or craft them! Also, in C4 you can probably use the auto-soulshot button. Left click the soulshot on your hotbar once and it will start using them. In C3 and earlier versions people use ingame walker for the same purpose.

Till level 20 use only No grade equipment!

General Ways to startup:

Farm or buy Ancient Adena
Buy blank scrolls

You can turn these into EWD’s for on average 200k adena a piece at the merchant of mammon, instead of the market price of 400-450k.

Use this at first to create some nice starting money and get yourself a few million, then head over to giran to start making more money.

Warning: This is a gambling and there is no way to assure its safety on official servers.

1. Go to the weaponshop and buy 1 elven sword and 1 artisan sword. It will run you about 1.8kk.
2. Use the EWD’s that you got with your AA and blank scrolls and start enchanting it. There are many rituals of how people “assure” safety, but facts are that the official servers have a 66% success rate and nothing more.

The choices are yours, You can be fairly safe and just get a +4 and sell it for 1-2kk profit each time (4kk for a +4 is reasonable by all means) however, if you can make it a +5, or a +6 you can end up making 10-15kk profit.

After doing this for a few cycles I was comfortably able to afford my full C grade and start buying into my B.

Fafurions lair is at the center of the water garden of eva. With a un targetable wall. Use the arrow keys and keep walking torwards the water wall. After a while your screen will refresh into Fafurion’s lair. Rather useless atm since the water dragon isn’t in the game!

1) unequip your jewellerys et or armor set - simply remove it from you and put in inventory
2) put your jewellery set or armor set on your shortcutbar - under F1 F2 F3 etc
3) press trade button and put whole set in trade window - DO NOT PRESS OK YET
4) wear WHOLE set items using the shortcutbar (F1 F2 F3 etc depeneds where did you put set items)
5) press OK, the all items will go to the other char but the bonus effect stays in char who traded set and simply does not have anymore whole set.

Now improve your imagination. One person have whole Epic boss jewellery= Valaka, Anthares, Baium, Zaken, Ant queen. Thanks to this exploit you can trade whole EPIC set to all Party memmbers and <>BOMM<> everybody in party has set bonuses even if they do not have set on them.

Ok here we go: First you’ll have to go to ToI 13th floor, once you get there get close to galaxia’s RB . Then mount your rideable pet, look at the roof and then click on your name in same time as you dismount your pet. If doesnt work try again and again.

Once its installed and running you can create your macro by clicking on the “Create New” button.

Now give your new macro a name and assign a binded key to something you wouldn’t normally use ingame during pve, pvp or chat. You must also change the radio option in the bottom right to “Repeat until stopped”.

Now the hard work begins. First prepare your Lineage 2 client by setting your gamma to “Average” in the Options & Video setting. You can change it back after you have the macro running.

Now get your CP down. You can do this with a friend but I found it easier to change class. Now alt-tab out of game and back to the macro gamer program. Select “Insert” and add a “pixel event”. Now select “Pick Location”. You can no longer use your mouse 1 button until you are ready to pick a location on your cp bar so use the keyboard to alt-tab back into game.

Once you are back ingame select a point on your CP bar that you want the CP pot spam macro to activate. If you have a high CP char you may want to set this around 60%, for low CP chars set this around 90%. MAKE SURE THAT THE POINT YOU CLICK ON YOUR CP BAR, YOU ARE WITHOUT CP. Now alt-tab back to macro gamer and you should see a location setting and colour have been inserted into the option window. Tick the option “wait for colour” and double check the colour you see in the window is similar to the colour you clicked on ingame. If you’re happy press “Insert”, otherwise try again.

Now insert your key press for the first CP pot. I have my CP pots set on F11 and F12 so decide on which F key’s you’ll use and edit as you need. To do this click “Insert” and select “Key Event”. Set the option to “Hold Down” and press the “Record” button followed by your F key of choice, in my example I used F11. Now press “OK”.

Now insert the time delay between key presses. To do this press “Insert” and select “Delay”. I suggest using the delays I have setup on my screenshot as a guide and take your own initiative when it comes to editting them. Rinse and repeat for the remaining key presses and Delays. To change the order of the macro use the “Move Up” and “Move Down” buttons as required.
